UNC senior guard Paris Kea was selected Thursday as a regional finalist for the 2019 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America Team.

Kea is one of 52 candidates who are looking to earn a place on the prestigious 10-member team.

The Greensboro native has been an All-ACC performer in each of the last two seasons for the Tar Heels, while scoring a team-high 17.1 points per game this year.

Her top performance of the season came when she scored 30 points and dished out 10 assists to help lead UNC to an upset over then-No. 1 Notre Dame, an effort that ultimately led to her winning the National Player of the Week award.

Kea has also played a major role in getting the Tar Heels back into the NCAA Tournament for the first time in four years.
