CHAPEL HILL – The UNC women’s tennis team clinched the No. 2 seed for the NCAA Division I Team Tournament. It’s the highest in program history, matching the 2010 squad that advanced to the national semifinals.

Regional action is set for May 10 and 11, when the Heels will welcome Tennessee, VCU, and South Carolina State to the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
The two first-round winners will meet Saturday, May 11. The victor will advance to the NCAA Finals in Urbana, Ill.
UNC has an all-time NCAA record of 26-14 and made it past the regionals on eight occasions, including last year’s run to the round of 16.
