The ACC released its revised football schedule on Thursday for the upcoming 2020 season, on the same day that UNC opened up its fall training camp.
Last week, the league announced it would move to a 10-game conference schedule with teams also allowed to schedule one non-conference game as long as the game takes place in a state with an ACC school.
UNC will open the season at Kenan Stadium on Sept. 12 against Syracuse, followed by a home non-conference game on Sept. 19 against an opponent still to be determined.
The Tar Heels have an early bye week in Week Three, before making their first road trip of the season to face Boston College on Oct. 3.
A home date with Virginia Tech (Oct. 10) comes after that matchup with the Eagles.
From there, UNC will head to Tallahassee to take on Florida State (Oct. 17) in its last game before a rivalry showdown against NC State in Chapel Hill on Oct. 24.
Back-to-back road games against Virginia (Oct. 31) and Duke (Nov. 7) precede a home game against Wake Forest on Nov. 14–which leads into the team’s second bye week of the season.
The Tar Heels will then host Notre Dame in their final home game of the year on Nov. 27, with the season finale coming on the road against Miami on Dec. 5.
Should UNC qualify for the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte, that will be held either on Dec. 12 or Dec. 19 depending on the league’s decision.
