The latest chapter in the strange saga of former UNC guard Jalek Felton took a strange twist this past month, as European basketball website Sportando reported that Felton left his Slovenian pro teamPetrol Olimpija Ljubljana, after just two games.

This comes after the Tar Heels’ top recruit entering last season was suspended from the school last January after playing in just 22 games.

Felton–the nephew of former UNC star Raymond Felton–then decided to leave UNC and pursue playing overseas professionally.

Federal privacy laws prevented the university from providing any additional information on the suspension.

The South Carolina native averaged just 2.9 points and 1.6 assists in 9.7 minutes per game as a Tar Heel.

He will be eligible for the 2019 NBA Draft.
