The Atlantic Coast Conference released the UNC football team’s full 2024 regular season schedule on Wednesday. The 2024 season will be the first with new league members Cal, Stanford and SMU, though Carolina will not play any of those three teams next season.

The Tar Heels will begin with four consecutive non-conference games. Carolina opens the season on the road with its first-ever visit to Minnesota on Thursday, August 29. UNC defeated the Golden Gophers in Chapel Hill last season. Home games against Charlotte (September 7), North Carolina Central (September 14) and James Madison (September 21) will follow.

Carolina begins conference play on the road against rival Duke on September 28. The Tar Heels have won five straight contests against the Blue Devils, including a double-overtime thriller in Kenan Stadium last season in what was quarterback Drake Maye’s final home game. The Tar Heels will then return home for matchups with Pittsburgh on October 5 and Georgia Tech on October 12.

After a bye week, UNC hits the road for two difficult matchups at Virginia on October 26 and Florida State on November 2. The Cavaliers upset No. 10 Carolina in Chapel Hill last season, while the Seminoles are the defending league champions.

After another bye week, Carolina hosts Wake Forest on November 16 and visits Boston College on November 23. NC State, winners of three straight against UNC, visits Kenan Stadium for Carolina’s Senior Day on November 30.

The Tar Heel program helped announce their schedule with a video featuring senior jack linebacker Kaimon Rucker taking a shopping trip in a parody video.

Kickoff times for the games have yet to be announced. For a full look at Carolina’s schedule, click here.
