This month, 97.9 The Hill’s Aaron Keck was joined by Terry, a current resident of Bell Chapel Hill, to discuss what makes apartment living in the Blue Hill District appealing.
“I’ve been a resident of Chapel Hill for almost 16 years,” said Terry. “I was an executive at IBM and retired from that company five years ago. At that time, we were starting to look at being empty nesters and [asking] what were we gonna do next? We decided to sell the big house, but didn’t really know what was next.”
After signing an initial one-year lease for an apartment, Terry is now on her third year of Blue Hill living. Citing walkable locations, friendly residents and well-appointed amenities, Terry intends on staying a while longer.
“It really feels quite vibrant,” said Terry. “Obviously, there’s a lot of building going on. I know that causes sometimes some delays in traffic — but just that walkability, people being out and about things, growing, changing, moving. I also love the access to the bike trails and walking trails. It’s really a great place to live.”
