This month, Kelly and Aaron are joined by Mebane development director Ashley Ownbey to discuss plans for a new citywide comprehensive plan. Mebane is putting the finishing touches on “Mebane 2045,” but they’re still seeking public comments and questions on their latest draft before they finalize a plan for possible approval by the City Council this fall.

Click here for more on the Mebane 2045 comprehensive plan, including the latest draft and a link to an online survey. (The deadline to fill out the survey is August 24.)

There are lots of other things happening in Mebane as well: Kelly discusses a recent City Council decision to approve a new townhome project, upcoming events including October’s inaugural “Hook and Line: Thompson Music & Arts Heritage Festival,” and vacancies on the city’s Racial Equity Advisory Committee, for residents who want to serve.
