The wildly popular literary event “Noir at the Bar” returns this spring to Yonder: Southern Cocktails and Fine Wine, located at 114 W King Street in the heart of historic Hillsborough. This quarterly event brings together crime fiction fans and authors for an unforgettable evening of live readings, cocktails and conversation.
Hosted by the inimitable Tracey Reynolds, this installment of “Noir at the Bar” will feature eight celebrated crime authors reading short excerpts from their work:
Eryk Pruitt, Robert Gipe, Wes Browne, Morgan Sullivan, Sarah Smith, Meagan Lucas, Russell Johnson, and Chris Holaday.
“There are few things I love more than ‘Noir at the Bar’ nights,” says Eryk Pruitt, local author and event organizer. “We love serving drinks and fostering community at Yonder, but it’s truly a treat to introduce a reader to a great book, or a writer to an eager audience. Our patrons at Yonder love a good read.”
“Noir at the Bar” events are free to attend and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for optimal seating, as these events typically draw a standing-room-only crowd.
Two of the evening’s featured writers, Wes Browne and Robert Gipe, will be traveling from Kentucky to share their work. Gipe’s novel “TRAMPOLINE” has earned widespread acclaim, while Browne’s newest release, “THEY ALL FALL THE SAME,” has just hit shelves and is already generating buzz.
Join us for an unforgettable night of gripping storytelling, craft cocktails, and community celebration at one of Hillsborough’s most beloved venues.
And if you love crime fiction, don’t forget—Yonder is also home to the Get Lit Book Club, meeting on the second Wednesday of every month to discuss stories of mystery, murder, and mayhem.
