Listen below to learn about Goldfish Swim School Chapel Hill’s Community Superstar of the Month and this month’s feature highlighting the work of InterFaith Council (IFC)!
Welcome to Goldfish Swim School Chapel Hill’s Community Superstar of the Month! This month, our Superstar is InterFaith Council (IFC) — known for work addressing both the effects and causes of poverty. From ensuring people have a roof over their head and a hot meal on their table to assisting in navigating available resources and institutions, IFC plays a significant role in reaching thousands of people in need each year.
Join 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey in a conversation with Danelle Alex, owner of Goldfish Swim School in Chapel Hill, and Jackie Jenks, executive director and CEO of IFC.
“IFC confronts poverty and builds community,” said Jackie Jenks, executive director of IFC. “We respond to the effects of poverty through programs that provide shelter, housing, hot meals, groceries, emergency assistance of all kinds and resource navigation for folks who need to be connected to different resources.”
