Foodies from across the region descended on Chapel Hill for the fourth annual celebration of TerraVITA, a gourmet Southern food festival. The three-day celebration is organized by Colleen Minton and sponsored by the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau among others. The annual wine, food, coffee, chocolate affair included events like a locally-sourced Harvest Dinner and panel discussion and various Sustainable Classroom sessions on topics from beer and seafood pairings to the transition to digital food books. It culminated on Saturday with the Grand Tasting on the Green at Southern Village – bite-sized samples and sips from more than 30 chefs and food artisans alongside local brewers and silent auction gift items, all to the tune of live music, hundreds of guests and the backdrop of a Carolina Blue Sky.
