SaxArt Gallery welcomed the Tibetan Buddhist Monks of the Drepung Gomang Monastery as part of their 2013 Sacred Art Tour in their mission to communicate peace, wisdom and compassion. Over a five day period, they patiently construct a beautiful sand Mandala, teach classes in Tibetan Sand Painting and open a Tibetan Bazaar in the gallery. All of the proceeds from the event go directly to support, educate, house, feed and clothe the 2000+ refugee monks living at the Drepung Gomang Monastery in India.
