After a 1-5 start, the UNC Tar Heels football team finished the regular season at 6-6 and accepted a bid to the Belk Bowl. North Carolina faced the Cincinnati Bearcats at 3:20 pm on Saturday, December 28th at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. The Tar Heels got out to a quick 9-0 lead thanks to a Kareem Martin safety, and promptly ran back the ensuing kick-off for a touchdown. Cincinnati couldn’t catch up to the Tar Heels in the second half, and North Carolina won running away, 39-17.
