On Tuesday, Rep. David Price of District 4 easily won his 10th consecutive term and his 14th overall in the U.S. House.

Price defeated Republican challenger Paul Wright, who campaigned against what he calls the “de-Christianization of America.”

Republicans won 10 of the other 12 U.S. House races in the state, including incumbent Renee Ellmers of District 2.

Ellmers defeated Clay Aiken of “American Idol” fame by 59-to-42 percent.

Mark Walker, a Baptist pastor from Greensboro, will take over fellow Republican Rep. Howard Coble’s District seat after his retirement.

Walker beat Democratic challenger Laura Fjeld by a 59-to-41 margin.

Democrats won big in two races. Rep. G.K. Butterfield of Durham’s District 1 beat Republican challenger Arthur Rich, 73-to-27. And in District 12, Alma Adams won 75 percent of the vote over Republican Vince Coakley.
