CHAPEL HILL – Good Night Carolina is going mobile.
Authors and creators Missy Julian-Fox and Marie Myers Lloyd, along with illustrator Elaine O’Neil created a book for all ages about Chapel Hill called Good Night Carolina based loosely on the book Good Night Moon. Now, there’s a companion map and mobile app to take you through the different parts of town referenced in the book created in part by the Chapel Hill Orange County Visitors Bureau.
Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., join the creators and fans of the book for a launch party at the Carolina Inn as the Visitors Bureau kicks off this new tourism initiative.

On Thursday, the Orange County Public Library is beginning its holiday activities.
One of the amenities its offering is a wrapping station for parents to wrap their gifts away from children’s eyes. This wrapping station will be available until December 24, and parents can help keep the station going by bringing leftover wrapping paper to the information desk.
The library will also decorate for the holiday season with the help of Hillsborough Garden Club. Artwork from OrangeCountyHigh School students will available for the public to see in the teen center.
At 6:00 p.m. Thursday, library celebrity and recent retiree, Kevin Delaney, will present a selection of songs for the season. Then at 6:30 p.m., you can listen to stories told by local authors. Anne Clinard Barnhill, Natania Barron, Barbara Davis, James Maxey, and Barbara Claypole White will each present their original work and discuss the importance of stories as gifts.
