The threat of rain in the forecast has caused the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro to move the Community Egg Hunt events from Saturday to Sunday afternoon.
The Chapel Hill egg hunt will now take place from two o’clock until four o’clock Sunday afternoon, March 20.
This is a free event and all egg hunters ages 2-10 are welcome. The event will include crafts, games, food, prizes and more.
The egg hunt will be located off of NC Highway 15-501 next to Market Street at Southern Village.
This year’s hunt includes over 12,000 eggs containing prizes and candy hidden across three locations and will be split up into age groups of 2-4, 5-7 and 8-10.
The egg hunt for the 2-4 age group starts at two o’clock, followed by the middle group at 2:15 and finishes with the oldest group at 2:30.
The event it BYOB – Bring Your Own Basket.
The Carrboro Community Egg Hunt has also been moved to Sunday afternoon from one until three o’clock at the Henry Anderson III Community Park.
