A new center for commercial export management has been established in Chapel Hill to facilitate a rapidly increasing inclination among state businesses toward international commerce.
The Carolina Chamber Export Assistance Center is intended to assist businesses with global trade by streamlining the processing of electronic export documents that include invoices and packing lists.
According to a press release from the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, the center is the result of a partnership between other chambers of commerce in Raleigh, Garner and Haywood.
The release also states that over $30 billion in merchandise was exported from the state in 2015 based on data compiled by the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina.
