In the early morning hours of October 16, 2016 – one year ago Monday – someone firebombed the Orange County GOP headquarters in Hillsborough.

That crime is still unsolved, and the reward for information leading to an arrest is now up to 20,000 dollars.

Orange County GOP leaders held a press conference Monday to announce the office was back open. FBI officials said they were offering a $10,000 reward for information, adding to the $5000 previously offered by the state and another $5000 offered by the state GOP. Authorities from the local to the federal level are working on the case.

Contact Hillsborough police if you have any information that could help them identify those responsible for the firebombing. You can reach Investigator Jon Purvis by phone at 919-296-9533, or by email via this link on the town’s website.
