Orange County has named Katie Murray as the new Arts Commission Coordinator.
The 15-member citizen built Arts Commission serves to promote artistic and cultural development in Orange County.
Most recently serving as Executive Director of the Arts of Albemarle in Elizabeth City, Murray supervised operations of the regional arts council and cultural arts center.
Murray holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Elon University.
The Arts Commission is part of Orange County government.
