UNC sport administration professor and Director of the Center for Research in Intercollegiate Athletics Erianne Weight joins 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell on Friday, July 31. The NCAA’s new “5 in 5” eligibility rules are about to go into place, where college athletes can compete in up to five seasons across five years. Weight shares her thoughts on the benefits and drawbacks of the revised system, potentially ripple effects of its exceptions, and how student-athletes she works with have reacted to the change so far. She also shares early details on work her center is doing to establish a college sports framework in India.
