Former Pittsboro Mayor and former Chair of the state Democratic Party Randy Voller joins 97.9 The Hill News Director Brighton McConnell on the phone Tuesday, August 20. Calling in from Chicago, Voller recaps the atmosphere of the opening night of the Democratic National Convention and some of the emerging themes as the party transitions from President Joe Biden to Vice President Kamala Harris at the top of its 2024 ticket. Voller also details some of the talk among North Carolina delegates and some of the policies from the party being reflected in Chatham County and elsewhere in our community. Finally, Randy shares some of the things he’s most looking forward to for the second half of the convention and teases some future guests for “On The Porch.”
