Amy Sayle, who is a science education specialist for UNC’s Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, joins 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell on Wednesday, August 9. With the Perseid meteor shower expected to peak in visibility this weekend, the planetarium is teaming up with the Raleigh Astronomy Club to host a free watch-along party on Saturday, August 12 from 9 to 11 p.m at Dorothea Dix Park. Sayle shares details about the annual meteor shower, what it is that people actually see during these showers, and what to know if people are coming to the event.
