UNC running back Elijah Hood and place kicker Nick Weiler have been named to the Academic All-ACC team Wednesday afternoon..

Hood was one of seven players to be named to both the Academic All-ACC team and first-team All-ACC.

The sophomore rushed for 1,463 and 17 touchdowns.

Weiler also excelled on and off the field. He was named a Lou Groza Award semifinalist, which is presented annually to the nation’s top place kicker.
