“Depending on how quick that changeover is, we could see some snow amounts of one to two inches with higher amounts expected across the northern Piedmont and the northern coastal area just to the north of the Triangle.”
National Weather Service meteorologist Shawna Coakley told Ron Stutts on the WCHL Wednesday morning news that Wednesday night’s and Thursday morning’s snow showers aren’t likely to cause many if any problems for the area.
Warmer temperatures and rain showers Monday morning will quickly lead to a cold air mass moving into the region dropping temperatures Monday night toward single digits with gusty winds.
Another system like the Triangle saw Thursday roles through starting Sunday, and with it will come rain on the front end and cold, cold temperatures on the tail end.
