Today is Tuesday, November 10, 2015. It is RSVVP Day 2015! We also see a dress made from fastfood wrappers and wobbly goats.
RSVVP Day 2015
Today is RSVVP Day . Over 100 restaurants are participating. Local restaurants pledge 10 percent of their proceeds to the Inter-Faith Council for Social Services. It’s one of the IFC’s biggest annual fundraisers; In 2014, more than $26,000 was raised on RSVVP Day. RSVVP stands for “Restaurants Sharing 10 Percent.” (The two V’s are roman-numeral fives.)
Head out to eat at participating restaurants all day long – breakfast, lunch and dinner…there’s no good reason not to.
Fastfood Wedding Dress
McDonald’s teamed up with fashion students to create a collection of 20 dresses made from their wrappers . There were crop tops, skirts, handbags and a wedding dress.
They used:
4,600 sandwich wrappers
1,770 fry boxes
1,100 straws
600 to-go bags
500 sandwich boxes
200 soft drink cups
500 ketchup holders
100 McFlurry cups
The wedding gown alone included 900 white sandwich wrappers, 60 yellow sandwich wrappers, and 20 fry boxes.
