Lunsford pleaded guilty to a vehicle speed competition, resulting in the death of Kacie Chamberlain, 16, and Chase Underhill, 16, on December 29, 2012.
The bill reduces corporate income tax and replaces the progressive three-tier personal income tax system with a flat 5.8-percent tax for North Carolina residents.
“I don’t think Moral Monday has contributed any sort of sensible political debate. I don’t want to sound harsh, but William Barber is pure demagogue. This isn’t a debate, this is a political rant,” Wrenn said.
