This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Katisha Paige.
Paige is the director of development for TABLE. TABLE works to provide healthy food and fresh produce for our neighbors in need. Every week, they provide to 1100 kids in our community. During the recent federal shutdown when many lost SNAP benefits and went over a month without a paycheck, TABLE’s waitlist went up in just a couple days, but Paige and TABLE snapped into action to expand their services in a time of crisis. They’ve worked with churches and have local farmers working with them, growing in excess to give the extra crops to TABLE.
