This weekend, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced a major recall of more than 30,000 pounds of gluten-free breaded chicken products.

Two products are affected: 10.5-ounce boxes of Bell & Evans Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast, and 12-ounce boxes of Bell & Evans Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets. Inspectors discovered staphylococcus bacteria at the plant where those two products are produced.

Affected products have a best-by date of August 9, 2015, and the establishment number “P-516” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

So far, no one has reported getting sick from the products, but the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is warning people not to use them. Staph infections are common causes of food poisoning: symptoms like nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea usually develop within six hours and last for one to three days.
