A group of teenagers from the Rogers Road neighborhood will be holding a community fundraiser this weekend to help bring solar activities and education into the community.

The group says they will sell different foods that reflect the varying cultures in the neighborhood from one o’clock until four on Saturday afternoon at the Rogers Road Community Center.

Several local businesses have donated food to help the effort, including Calavera Empanada and Tequila, Mama Dip’s Kitchen and Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen.

The teens have partnered with groups including the Rogers – Eubanks Neighborhood Association, NextClimate, United Solar Initiatives and Clean Air Carolina to help bring solar education and activities to the community, according to a release.

The Rogers Road Community Solar group has started an online donation portal as well.
