HILLSBOROUGH- Laurence Lovette Jr. will have to wait until June to learn what sentence awaits him for the killing of UNC Student Body President Eve Carson.

Lovette was convicted in 2011 of first-degree murder, kidnapping and armed robbery, and sentenced to life without the possibility for parole, but a recent Supreme Court ruling mandating review of automatic sentencing guidelines means that Lovette, who was 17 at the time of the murder, will be resentenced.

That was scheduled to take place in Hillsborough on Friday, but has been rescheduled to June 3.
