A Chapel Hill man was arrested earlier this week on charges of felony breaking and entering.

According to the police report, 25-year-old Phillip Davis was arrested around three o’clock Monday morning on charges of breaking into The Bagel Bar on Weaver Dairy Road and stealing nearly $1,600.

Chapel Hill Police allege Davis smashed the glass door to the business with the intent of stealing money.

Records show Davis lives on Weatherstone Drive in Chapel Hill and was an employee of The Bagel Bar.

Davis faces charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny by employee, and felony possession of burglary tools. He was initially held on a $50,000 bond.
