In life, we are all traveling somewhere.

However, it is within your power to pick the dominant emotion. You might as well be joyful, and you might as well laugh a lot.

Emotions are a habit. We tend to feel the same way every day, barring any major life event, like winning the lottery or the death of a loved one.

Because emotions are chosen, we can control our emotions by managing our focus. If we focus on bad stuff, such as what we don’t have, we tend to feel bad. If we focus on good stuff, such as what we do have, we tend to feel grateful. But you already know this.

Focus on opportunities for laughter.

Laughing is the best medicine for any problem you have because it makes everything lighter. The lighter something is, the easier it is to handle.

Call someone each day and make a point to laugh with them. Laughter is contagious and it is something most people enjoy doing. Whoever you call will feel better once they finish talking with you.
