This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Christina Jasper from Corporate Investors Mortgage Group.
“I was feeling like so many people are feeling right now,” she said, “which is completely and utterly helpless and sometimes the best way to combat that is by figuring out ways to be helpful.”
With that, the idea for a new local initiative called Real Estate Cares was born.
“The idea behind real estate cares is for folks in the real estate community to pool their resources to help folks in need together,” Christina said. “The goal is to raise $100,000 in all to buy a thousand hundred dollars gift cards to local family owned restaurants and give those gift cards away to local families in need, helping local restaurants in the process.”
Christina said the response from fellow realtors has been overwhelmingly positive.
“I called five realtors. Every single one of them without hesitation said, ‘I’m in!'”
