3/5/19 – Rick Derringer “Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo”

Get ready to rock and roll! Rick Derringer is a guy with a lot of music history! He’s known these days as a strong guitarist, producer, and collaborator on a lot of musical fronts. Back in the mid 60’s, he was a studio musician who got recruited to sing lead with a group called The McCoys. Remember “Hang On Sloopy.” Yeah, those McCoys!

3/6/19 – Emerson, Lake & Palmer “Lucky Man” 

I watched an excellent movie over this past weekend, and there was a song at the end of it that’s been stuck in my head for a few days now. If you get an opportunity, please make sure to see “Black Klansman,” directed by Spike Lee. It’s outstanding, and the soundtrack is great!

Oh, man, I love this song I’m about to share with you. Love this group, too. These guys are just about as funky as anything you’ve ever heard! THE OHIO PLAYERS were really big back in the late 70’s… and they were extremely talented musicians.
