12/3/18 – Johnny Lang “Lie to Me”
I first became a fan of JONNY LANG when I saw him in the final musical number of “Blues Brothers 2000.” There was this big song and dance number at the end of the movie that featured Eddie Floyd, Wilson Pickett, and 15-year-old Jonny singing “634-5789,” a great old soul tune originally made popular by Pickett. Jonny holds his own with those old soul veterans and throws in an impressive guitar solo, too!
12/4/18 – Johnny Cash “Hurt”
There’s a song by Johnny Cash that’s so powerful and so overwhelming, it will make you cry. It makes ME cry, anyway… I don’t know about you. I can’t get through the video without FEELING it, if you know what I mean. “HURT” is a song written by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, and it’s one of the last songs the late Johnny Cash recorded.
12/6/18 – Bob Seger “Hollywood Nights”
I’m a big BOB SEGER fan. His music comes up in my head a lot. I’m hoping that one day, before he’s all finished touring, he’ll actually come around here somewhere so I can see him in concert. BOB SEGER & THE SILVER BULLET BAND are on tour right now, but I think the closest he’s coming to here is somewhere in South Carolina. And Seger is 73 years old now so I’m not sure how much longer he’s going to be doing this!
12/7/18 – Bryan Adams “Summer of ’69”
Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer/songwriter. He had a lot of musical success, particularly in the 80’s and 90’s, and his fans also know that he’s a record producer, and a photographer. Over the years, he’s also been a philanthropist, and in some cases, an activist for various social causes. A good guy, as far as I know, and he also happens to be in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
