9/5/18: Santana “She’s Not There”

I’ll never forget the first time I heard this song.  It was the first single by The Zombies, a part of The British Invasion back in the 60’s.  Right after this one, The Zombies came out with another great song called “Tell Her No,” and I was hooked. But it’s Santana’s version that I’m hearing today, and it’s certainly no slouch!

9/6/18: Pilot “Magic” 

Today, for some reason, a song called “Magic” was on my mind. It’s by Pilot, and it was a big hit back in 1974. It’s from their first album, also entitled “Magic.” I didn’t know this until I looked these guys up this morning!

9/7/18: Gloria Gaynor “I Will Survive”

I was doing a little reading late yesterday, getting ready for today’s show, and discovered that today is Gloria Gaynor’s 69th birthday! Well, that’s all it took to plant her famous song, “I Will Survive” into my brain… and it’s still there today.  I can’t get it out of my head!
