9/18/18: The Beatles “Here Comes The Sun”
A familiar song popped into my head. Actually, it’s there a lot, no matter what the weather! It’s a song that was written entirely by George Harrison at a time when he was spending some time away from the rest of the Beatles. In fact, he was at Eric Clapton’s house, outside in the garden, when he picked up one of Clapton’s acoustic guitars and began writing “Here Comes The Sun.”
9/19/18: Led Zeppelin “When The Levee Breaks”
I’ve had this song rambling around in my brain for several days off and on, because of the flooding here in our community, and all over North and South Carolina. Up until now, I’ve always thought of Hurricane Fran when I hear this song. To me, it’s been so closely identified with that horrible storm and all the flooding that washed out New Orleans, one of my favorite cities. I think now I might come to identify it with Hurricane Florence, because I’ve been thinking about it so much.
9/21/18: Lenny Kravitz “Let Love Rule”
I was flipping through the TV channels late yesterday afternoon, and landed on one of those hour-long rock and roll tribute shows, and they were profiling LENNY KRAVITZ. I’ve been thinking about him since then, so no surprise that I woke up this morning with some of Lenny’s music playing in my head!
