In the seventh episode of “Inside Voices,” (available to stream at the bottom of this page) join host Kevin “Kaze” Thomas in a studio session with Shame Clark — artist, musician, entertainer and speaker.

“With music, I always liked to have something to reflect on,” said Shame. “I feel like music is a sign of the times. And to me, you know, I like to paint a picture for people. Because, you know, there’s plenty of people that might not have grew up in a situation, or situations, that us as black men — or black people in general — have been in. So, I like to paint those pictures for them so that they can understand us better.”

Listen below for the full conversation between Kaze and Shame as they discuss speaking out, using your platform, refining your message, loss, community, music and more. Check back next week for a new installment of “Inside Voices” on 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro.com.
