DURHAM – Duke coach David Cutcliffe says quarterback Anthony Boone is “day to day” in his recovery from a broken collarbone.

Boone started the first two games but hasn’t played since suffering the injury in the second quarter at Memphis on Sept. 7.

Cutcliffe said Tuesday that Boone is getting some practice work, but still hasn’t participated in full-speed drills. Cutcliffe says Boone has “gotten progressively better” though it’s still unclear exactly when he’ll be back.

Brandon Connette has thrown for 1,022 yards and 11 touchdowns this year. He’s had two straight 300-yard passing performances heading into Saturday’s home game against Navy.
