Chapel Hill Transit announced Friday the two bus lines that use Dobbins Drive will be detoured beginning Monday, January 6.
A construction project on the road means the CL and D bus routes will be detoured around the area of Midtown 501 Apartments until permission is given from Orange Water and Sewer Authority to continue service.
The release says a number of bus stops will also be closed because of the detour. Any stops between Summerfield Crossing Road and Erwin Road along Dobbins Drive will not be served, with residents encouraged to visit other stops on nearby roads.
The Town of Chapel Hill website says OWASA is replacing water and sewer mains along Dobbins Drive.
