Helping out community members in need is as simple as going out to eat on Tuesday.

The effort is part of the 29th annual RSVVP Day efforts that will turn dining out into thousands of dollars to help the Inter-Faith Council’s Food Pantry and Community Kitchen.

Participating restaurants have agreed to contribute 10 percent of proceeds from Tuesday to the IFC efforts.

Through efforts last year, 103 restaurants donated more than $24,000 as community members have turned out in large numbers to support the cause.

The goal of this year’s event is to raise $25,000.
