International healthcare company, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) announced their IMPACT Award winners this week.

The award, in its tenth year in the Triangle area, recognizes contributions to community health around GSK’s corporate campuses in Philadelphia, Penn., and RTP. The 10 winners of the award receive $40,000 to support their continued work.

This year, the winners in our area were:

A panel of local and national community and non-profit leaders selected the winners. GSK partners with the Triangle Community Foundation (TCF) to present the awards.

“Community health is about so much more than healthcare,” president and CEO of Triangle Community Foundation Lori O’Keefe said in a release. “It’s about feeling safe in our neighborhoods, being empowered as a community, having access to financial literacy tools, and the ability to put health first. By investing in thriving communities, families, and individuals, it means a healthier community for all.”
