CHAPEL HILL – A public forum for candidates for the Chapel Hill Town Council will be held on October 2 at Extraordinary Ventures.  Sponsors for the event include Friends of Bolin Creek and Neighbors for Responsible Growth.

People attending and invited experts will be able to pose questions to the Mayor and candidates for Town Council.  The doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the panel will start at 7:30 p.m.

UNC Law’s Pro Bono Program is partnering with Legal Aid to conduct a Divorce Clinic for low-income people in need of simple divorces.

On October 29 people must be able to meet with a supervising attorney and a law student working under them to complete the necessary documents, then must be able to attend court on February 28 at the LawSchool.

There are certain criteria to meet to make sure that one is eligible for the service.

The OCPL Carrboro Branch Library invites the public to a Fabric Art Workshop.  The workshop takes place on October 6 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The event is free but is limited to only 20 people.

Professional textile artist Ali Givens will lead the workshop and help people to create their own image on fabric.
