CARRBORO – Carrboro Aldermen will also be discussing the future of the Rogers Road area when the board meets Tuesday.

The aldermen will review seven recommendations from the Rogers Road Task Force designed to bring sewer service to the neighborhood that’s lived next to the landfill for four decades.

The price to extend sewer service is approximately $5.8 million dollars. Officials from the towns and county are considering a cost-sharing plan that would have Carrboro paying 14 percent while Chapel Hill and OrangeCounty each pay 43 percent.

Aldermen will also consider a spending plan designed make it easier to access transit stops around town.

The board meets at 7:30 p.m. at Carrboro Town Hall.
