“I’d say probably everybody in the country is beat up. I can’t imagine a team that’s not. Guys have to take care of their bodies, and they got to try to survive it,” Coach Fedora says.
The two teams will be facing off for the ninth time in the last decade. The Tar Heels sport a perfect 10-0 head-to-record against the Chanticleers at Carmichael.
“A lot of it has to do with the chemistry of your football team. As this team has grown throughout the season and through all the adversity that we’ve overcome, you grow closer as a team.”
WCHL, 97.9 FM, will have live on-air coverage of the ceremony starting around noon on Wednesday as well as wrap-up coverage with on-site reporters from Carolina Connection.
“To be honest, we haven’t talked about a bowl game. The impression is just being 1-0 each week. That’s what we focus on. That’s what are main focus is going to be just focusing on getting this win this Saturday,” Williams says.
North Carolina earned an at-large bid into the 2013 NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament on Monday, and will host South Florida on Thursday, Nov. 21 at Fetzer Field at 7 p.m.
