Ted Talks At Seymour – The Secret to Living Longer May be Your Social Life – Susan Pinker, Developmental Psychologist

September 17 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

The Italian island of Sardinia has more than six times as many centenarians as the mainland and ten times as many as North America. Why? According to psychologist Susan Pinker, it’s not a sunny disposition or a low-fat, gluten-free diet that keeps the islanders healthy — it’s their emphasis on close personal relationships and face-to-face interactions. Learn more about super longevity as Pinker explains what it takes to live to 100 and beyond. Join us as we dive into TED Talks at Seymour including a 15 minute video/talk and follow up discussions led by Emily Gordon. The session will take place on Monday, September 17 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  The minimum participation is 10 and the maximum participation is 82.  Please register in advance for the session.
