24 Hour Run and Celebration for Malawi Children’s Initiative
April 5 @ 6:00 pm - April 6 @ 6:00 pm
One event on January 1, 1970 at 6:00pm
Drs. David and Elizabeth FItzgerald are moving back to Malawi to practice medicine in one of the poorest countries in the world. Join us as we RUN to send them off with $25,000 to support their mission for a better clinical laboratory and improved radiological services at the pediatric ward of Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe.
Participants will register for one hour time slots and run laps around our scenic 1-mile Southern Village loop. Runners will get sponsors to pledge on a dollars per mile basis. The goal is to raise at least $100 per runner. You can register for as many slots as you want. If you want to form a relay team, have each team member sign up for his/her designated slot. We will also have a celebration at the end of the race on the Southern Village Town Green (4pm-9pm on April 6th) with music, games, food and beer.
24 Hour Run: April 5th at 6:00pm – April 6th at 6:00pm
Race Celebration on the Green: April 6th, 4:00-9:00pm
