Durham Tech Receives $16,000 in Scholarships for Students of Mexican Heritage

A partnership between the General Consulate of Mexico in Raleigh and Durham Technical Community College has garnered $16,000 in scholarships for students of Mexican heritage. Since 2015, the General Consulate has been partnered with Durham Tech in supporting the educational goals of students, and the scholarships funded through this grant are meant to help top-performing low-income students attend classes and achieve their career goals. The $16,000 will help cover tuition, books and fees in the 2019 academic year, and is matched dollar-for-dollar by institutional scholarship funds.
