Earlier this week, antitrust economist and consultant for the Ed O’Bannon lawsuit Andy Schwarz wrote about two very different reform camps within the NCAA: The first, whom he pins “Team Change,” wants the NCAA to drastically reduce their salaries and expenditures to be more like club sports; the second, “Team Market,” believes that the NCAA should respond to market demands and pay its athletes accordingly. He joins us in studio this week to talk about his article in Deadspin, his work in the O’Bannon case, and how he thinks the NCAA should move forward.
