It isn’t often that a true rarity comes into WCHL (unless you count Ron Stutts). But today we were visited by Timon and Pumbaa, two Manx kittens.

If you’ve never met a Manx, they’re an incredible breed. They have beautiful jungle cat stripes, adorable round faces, and long rabbit-style hind legs. But their most noticeable feature is their stubby tail, almost like a docked dog’s tail. There are no other cats like them.

Their personality is doggish, too. They’re very social and loyal to their humans, and some even like to fetch! And they’re famously talented mousers, so they’d do great at a farm or country house.

Timon is a classic Manx, playful and talkative. His brother Pumbaa is a little more reserved at first, but becomes a total softie once he gets to know you. These 7-month-old kittens should really be adopted together, but they will make any home they live in twice as fun. And your home just might be the place for them. Act now – such a shelter rarity won’t go unclaimed for long! Get in touch with the folks at Independent Animal Rescue to meet and adopt these marvelous Manxes.
