2/28/17: Bill Withers “Lean On Me”
Bill Withers is a small-town kind of guy. But he’s made some music for the world, full of positive and uplifting messages for all mankind. Music is, after all, the universal language. Bill first came into everyone’s consciousness when he did a song called “Ain’t No Sunshine,” a tune I’m sure you remember. He’s won three Grammys, and is a card-carrying member of the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
No small wonder he’s famous, considering his classics like “Lovely Day,” Use Me,” “Grandma’s Hands,” and this one, all about leaning on each other, and helping your fellow men, women, and children. We’re all in this together.
